Terms of Service

Article 1 — Subject

Sylinka (the "Application") is a mobile application published by Graoll ("we", "us") that allows users to save YouTube video URLs. Our artificial intelligence then extracts key information from those videos and generates structured summary cards ("Cards") for educational, organisational, and personal use.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of the Application and the website sylinka.com. By creating an account or using the Application, you agree to these Terms in full.

Article 2 — Access & Account

The Application is accessible to any person aged 13 or older. By using the Application you confirm that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you confirm that you have obtained the consent of a parent or legal guardian.

You may create an account via Google Sign-In, email/password, or as an anonymous guest. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate information when signing up.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if we have reason to believe that the information you provided is inaccurate or that you have violated these Terms.

Article 3 — Subscription & Billing

Sylinka offers a free tier with advertising and a paid Premium tier. Premium is available as a monthly subscription (€2.99/month) or an annual subscription (€24.99/year). All prices are inclusive of applicable taxes.

Subscriptions are processed and managed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. By subscribing you agree to the billing terms of the relevant store. Payment is charged to your store account upon confirmation of purchase.

Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. You may cancel at any time through your store account settings. No refund is issued for the unused portion of the current billing period.

We reserve the right to modify subscription prices with at least 30 days' prior notice. Continued use of the Premium tier after a price change constitutes your acceptance of the new price.

Article 4 — User Content & YouTube

You may submit YouTube video URLs to the Application. We do not download, store, or redistribute any YouTube video files. We access only publicly available captions and metadata in compliance with YouTube's Terms of Service.

The Cards generated by our AI are structured summaries derived from publicly available content. They are not verbatim transcriptions and do not replace the original video. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the Application complies with applicable copyright law.

You retain ownership of any personal notes or manual Cards you create within the Application. By using the Application you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you.

Article 5 — Intellectual Property

The Sylinka name, logo, application code, design, and AI-generated outputs are the intellectual property of Graoll and are protected by applicable copyright and trademark law.

You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Application or its outputs without our prior written consent.

Article 6 — Liability & AI Disclaimer

The Cards generated by our AI are provided for informational purposes only. We do not guarantee their accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any particular purpose. You should verify any information before acting on it, particularly in matters relating to health, finance, or safety.

The Application is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied. We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Application.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Article 7 — Account Deletion & Termination

You may delete your account at any time from the Profile section of the Application. Upon deletion, all your personal data (Cards, Meal Slots, Chat history) will be permanently erased from our systems within 30 days.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Application immediately and without prior notice if you breach these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or if required to do so by law.

Article 8 — Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by French law. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of France.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
